Gary’s got a passion for vehicles and has a licence to drive almost anything on the road, he’s got an HGV licence, a motorbike licence and more. His love of vehicles and building trailers came from his dad. Gary’s had 21 years of building trailers and he’s only 34 now. It’s a classic story.

Gary’s dad was a hydraulics and pneumatic engineer who ended up working as a transport manager. Not just any transport manager, he built the special interiors and drove the executive coaches that the great rock and pop bands of the time would tour, sleep and live in, going all around Europe. Name dropping, that included Phil Collins, Simply Red, Oasis, even Michael Jackson. For Wacko Jacko they had to build a special room so his monkey (Bubbles) could join them.

Gary started working with dad at an early age. “Dad would say I’ve got a job to do in Dunkirk tomorrow, I’ve got to go and do some repairs, I could do with some help.” Next day Gary would miss school and head for Dunkirk. At 13 he was getting upset working with dad, who had by now joined a company building catering trailers. Gary would get a very basic hourly rate working at the weekend and dad got a much higher rate based on how much they produced.

Gary left school at 17 to join dad in the same business and four years later, in 2006, together they set up 4Sure.

As well as all the driving qualifications, Gary is a qualified plumber and electrician. To add to all that, he now has another very part-time business as ….. a certified business coach. What does all that mean for you?

Gary’s a livewire (no pun intended … electrician) who can turn his hand to almost anything practical with a high degree of skill, plus he’s got a real eye for business and opportunities. You’ll be surprised to hear he’s also a great designer – put that together with his business skills and he’s helped several of our clients significantly increase their business.

We design catering vans, trailers and statics that make people money. That’s what we do.

You’ll benefit from almost all our work being completed in house, so we control the whole process. When we agree a deadline you can have 100% confidence it will happen on time.

That means everything from design to final handover, from sourcing and installing all your kitchen equipment, from metal fabrication to carpentry, from organising a new or used vehicle, to arranging sign writing and branding. The list goes on, from electrical installation to LPG and almost every specialist area connected with mobile and static catering units.

We do build larger orders, so several similar units, and we’re happy to do that. A high proportion of our work is very bespoke, and our team and workshop are set up to be flexible and skilled enough to take on almost any mobile catering solution.

As well as first class craftsmen (and women) we invest heavily in plant and equipment. Our latest acquisition is a high specification CNC controlled press brake (bending machine) to ensure our accuracy and tolerance is hard to beat.

We train our team in house, looking for people with specialist skills who want to develop further as well as training people who are just starting out but have the right special attitude.
