Notes Coffee, a renowned coffee shop based in Canary Wharf, looking to extend their reach and capitalise on high foot traffic in a prime urban location.
Challenge:
Notes Coffee needed a standout, fully functional outdoor kiosk to complement their existing brick-and-mortar establishment and capture additional sales during peak times. The design had to handle a fast-paced environment, blend aesthetically with the urban setting, and withstand weather elements, all within the spatial constraints of Canary Wharf.
Solution:
Our team designed and commissioned the Notes Coffee 4m x 3m kiosk, a robust and stylish structure clad in Corten steel with a distinctive ribbed detail and an attractive orange hue achieved through specialised chemical treatments and sealed with lacquer to prevent corrosion.

- Durable Materials and Design: Utilising Corten steel ensured longevity and resilience, while the applied treatments and lacquer finish provided a vibrant and eye-catching appearance.
- Functional Layout: The kiosk was equipped with a cantilevered roof that not only added a modern architectural element but also offered customers protection from the elements at the dual-sided service windows, designed for efficient order placement and collection.
- Strategic Installation: Despite the logistical challenges of a tight space and limited access, the installation was successfully completed over a weekend, minimising disruption in the busy area.
- Enhanced Brand Visibility: Strategic branding on the roof improved visibility, ensuring it caught the eye of passersby from inside the adjacent tall, glass-sided buildings, thus driving additional foot traffic to the kiosk.
