The Nursery Pavilion at Lord’s Cricket Ground
Explore our champagne kiosk installation at one of London’s largest entertainment venues.
The Nursery Pavilion at Lord’s Cricket Ground is one of London’s largest entertainment venues. From meetings and conferences to charity events, and of course, hosting international cricket matches.
Our client was appointed to create an eye catching Veuve Clicquot champagne outlet to serve the discerning client base at Lord’s, and that’s exactly what we helped them to achieve.
What we were asked to do
We were asked to design and build a unit that could support high volume sales, from both sides of the unit. Regardless of the high profile location and superb positioning, an attention grabbing design was still a top priority. At a glance, people would recognise the brand and be drawn closer to indulge in a crisp, cold glass of champagne (or two!).

How we helped
Given the semi-permanent location, a kiosk unit offered the optimal customer experience. You see, unlike a trailer, a kiosk sits lower to the ground and you can serve customers at an ideal height. Customers can easily see what’s on offer, even from a distance, and be drawn in to buy.
Practicality was key to generating maximum sales and profit and the interior design is a stroke of genius that enables up to 20 staff to operate at any one time. The team can serve from either side of the central island which runs down the length of the unit.
Tall fridges are positioned for maximum visibility, crammed full of champagne. On the outer walls are under counter fridges, stocked ready for sales. This clever fridge layout enabled the staff to serve customers quickly and keep the eye catching display units well stocked.
We planned the likely operational demand based on the position and set up 6 POS stations on one side and 4 on the other. All connected to a central data point, allowing the technical team at Lord’s to quickly connect the POS without the need for additional cabling.
The results
The unit speaks for itself. In addition to the bright, Veuve Clicquot brand colour, cedar cladding softens the overall aesthetic. Leaning into the cricket theme, we added over 200 cricket ball halves to the outer walls. Flag poles were mounted on both sides of the unit and once positioned, branded sails were installed above the unit, making an eye catching statement from above – taking full advantage of the position below the cricket stands.
