Are you passionate about vintage vans? Have you seen a vehicle recently that caught your eye? We’ve converted loads and our team love them. So do our clients when they’re finished. So do the public with the right food offering and in the right location.
If you want to stand out from your competition, converting an older vehicle that oozes character could well be the right choice for you. These vehicles are loved by event organisers too. We can help you make the best choices to suit what you are looking for and at the same time we can open your eyes to some of the pitfalls to owning and operating such a classic vehicle.
We always start at the same place with every vehicle catering conversion, vintage or new.
It always makes sense to give us a call right up front so we can guide and help you narrow down the choice of what type of vehicle and conversion might suit your needs best.
The investment to convert a vintage vehicle can vary dramatically. It starts with the quality of the vehicle itself and then exactly how you want it set up to generate cash. Projects like this require serious attention to detail – before you start or buy the vehicle.
To design suitable layouts for this style of older vehicle requires skill. There’s a fine line between incorporating the functionality you need to earn money and maintaining the characteristic of the vehicle which you and the public fell in love with. Get the latter wrong and the enthusiasts will tell you. Get the functionality wrong and it can hold back your business and your cooking team may grizzle if the kitchen is hard to work in.
(You’ll love No 11)
1, If you’re not happy with your design when it’s finished, whatever you’ve paid at that time, just ask and we’ll refund it.
2, Our products are always easy to operate, with no sharp edges or poor workmanship. If you don’t agree or you find sharp edges, we’ll fix what’s wrong for free.
3, Our design process will always identify more money-making opportunities than you planned for.
4, Your safety is our No 1 concern (actually it’s our No 1 concern only just ahead of you making profits from your unit). You’ll have every relevant safety certification when your unit is ready to leave our workshop.
5, You’ll always benefit from talking to us, even if you don’t buy from us. We’ll always give you our best advice and we won’t be too salesy (but we don’t mind if you decide to buy).
6, When we agree a completion date, it’s a drop-dead date.
7, We never skimp on the quality of materials we use. Never.
8, If you want your unit to be ready to go when it leaves our workshop, that’s what it will be, ready to go, straight to the pitch.
9, Our support doesn’t end when you get your hands on your finished product. We’re there for any help, advice or guidance you need. Just call, we’ll help.
10, You’ll realise we have to put a time limit on our guarantee against defects in parts or workmanship but we give you an industry leading no quibble full 2 years (we ask that you return the unit to our workshop)
11, We always stand behind points 1 to 10, but here’s my personal guarantee, from Gary Wagstaff, owner of the business:
“If you order a catering unit from 4Sure and there’s anything you’re unhappy about, at any time, just call me and we’ll fix it.”
Funny that these are all French so far. Perhaps more style than the Germans?
But then there’s also
These vehicles are just amazing to look at. They remind me of Postman Pat when we were young. Some great British engineering at its best.
Please speak with us before you go and make an investment in a vehicle. We will ask you what you intend on doing, where you plan on trading and we’ll even check out the vehicle you’ve seen advertised.
Then we can give you the best advice on the advantages and considerations before you part with your cash. Remember, we’ll advise you based on our experience and knowledge of the best way to save and make the most money for you on the overall project. The cheapest van on the market is normally the cheapest van for a reason.
Notice we keep repeating this message. We’ve had customers show us their “wonderful old van” who’ve regretted what they’ve bought when our restoration specialists show them the real extent of that “cosmetic” rust.
If you’re hell bent on restoration of a specific vehicle and you just happen to acquire a rust ridden version, we can put your vehicle through our extensive restoration programme. To get that right is a job for vehicle restoration specialists who like detail. Sadly, the rust is often right in the detail. We’ve done a fair few of these jobs and we’ve learned a lot of tricks.
Remember, you can’t run a kitchen in a vehicle that’s going to the dogs, so make sure you get this right at the start.
At the start of the design stage we’ll work with you to decide how best to use the available space for branding and sign writing. You may have style with your choice and colour of vehicle conversion, but get the whole appearance package right and you will attract more customers.
Where and how your food is displayed will also have a huge positive impact on what and how much you sell. “The more they see, the more they buy” is a good mantra. However, the overall design of your unit sometimes has to balance required functionality against the marketing opportunities.
That’s our service, everything you want, or as much as you want, all in one place. You can sign off the design and then turn up to collect your vehicle, ready to go.
